Shafiqul Alam Bhuiyan
Managing Director, Monico Limited

Born in 1941, Mr. Shafiqul Alam Bhuiyan completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1963 from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Right after he completed his Bachelors he joined the then Water & Power Development Authority (Bangladesh) as an Assistant Engineer. Between the year 1964 and 1977 he served in Roads & Highways Department, Bangladesh. Mr. Bhuiyan joined the National Housing Authority, Kuwait as a Resident Engineer in 1977 and served their till 1985. After returning from Kuwait in 1985, Mr. Bhuiyan along with his partners started Monico Limited as one of the Founding Directors. Since 2000, he has been serving as the Managing Director of Monico Limited. Mr. Bhuiyan is currently the Vice President of Bangladesh Association of Construction Industries (BACI), a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Chairman of the Governing Body of Australian International School.

Md. Mahmudul Haque
Director, Monico Limited

Born in 1959, Mr. Haque graduated as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the then Bangladesh Institute of Technology, Chittagong (currently Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology). He has served in Bonatti of Italy and Greenland-Techno Consortium in Malaysia as a Highway Engineer. Mr. Haque joined Monico as Project Managerin in 1998. Since 2001 Mr. Haque has assumed the role of Director, Monico Limited.

Humayun Akhtar
Associate Director, Projects, Monico Limited

Mr. Akhtar, having over 30 years of experience in Road & Bridge Engineering was born in 1953. He started his career in Titas Prokoushali Limited (TPL), and since then worked in RDC (Resource Development Corporation)-TPL Consortium, Megastone Holdings Pte. Ltd, Singapore and Bengal Development Corporation as Project Manager. Mr. Akhtar has worked in the areas of Project Management, Quality Control of Roads, Bridges, Drainage Structures and Asphalt Plants. Mr. Akhtar is currently serving as Associate Director (Projects) of Monico Limited.
